Print Dash — Reporting Module User Guide
Audience: Shop owners and production managers (manager panel)
Version: 1.0.0 · Date: 2026-05-31
Language: English — العربية
1. Reports vs dashboard
| Place | Best for |
|---|---|
| Dashboard | Live KPI tiles you pin (inventory value, AR/AP snapshot, throughput sparkline) |
| Reports (this module) | Full reports with date ranges, detail tables, PDF/Excel, and month-end packs |
Operators typically use the Operator workstation, not the reports hub. Owners and production managers use reports most often.
2. Opening the reports hub
- In the sidebar, open Reports → All reports.
- At the top you may see favorites and recent reports — click to jump back quickly.
- Use the Report dates filters on the hub to refresh AR/AP summary and executive summary cards.
- Scroll Financial and Production groups; each card opens one report.
If the hub is empty, your role may not have access to any report, or a required module (Sales, Purchases, Services) is turned off for your shop — ask your administrator.
3. Running a report
- Open a report from the hub (or a shortcut — see below).
- Set filters (customer, supplier, warehouse, date range, etc.).
- Click Run report (or equivalent).
- Review the on-screen table or summary.
- Use Download PDF or Download Excel when available.
Date range limit: Most reports allow at most one year (366 days) between start and end. If you see a validation message about the maximum period, shorten the range.
Some reports let you save a view (preset filters) or star the report for the hub favorites strip.
4. Hub sections
Reports are grouped as on the hub. Names match the manager UI.
Financial group
| Section | Reports |
|---|---|
| Month-end & financial | Period trial pack (Excel), stock valuation, bulk AR/AP statements, financial posting register, scheduled reports |
| Sales & receivables | Customer account statement, customer sales order activity, open sales order pipeline |
| Purchases & payables | Supplier account statement, supplier spend |
| Inventory | Stock movement summary, stock movement ledger |
| Management & analysis | Goods vs services revenue split, service gross margin |
Production group
| Section | Reports |
|---|---|
| Production | Work in progress (WIP), throughput by work center, quality (rejects), material readiness (blocked orders) |
Contractor settlement for services stays under Services in the sidebar, not this hub.
5. Exports
| Format | Typical use |
|---|---|
| Printable statements and production summaries | |
| Excel | Period packs, bulk statements, pivot-friendly tables |
Your role needs the matching permission:
| Permission (role setting) | Allows |
|---|---|
| Export reports (PDF) | PDF download buttons and links |
| Export reports (Excel) | Excel download buttons |
Without export permission, you can still run the report on screen if you have the report page access.
PDF downloads open in a new request; stay signed in on the same shop URL you use for the manager panel.
6. Financial figures
The permission See Financial Data controls whether money amounts appear:
- Hub AR/AP and revenue summaries
- Customer and supplier statements, margins, spend reports
- Some inventory totals on mixed reports
Without it, you may still see counts (e.g. number of customers) while amounts show as — or hidden.
Grant See Financial Data only to roles that should see prices, balances, and margins. Configure under Users → Roles → Custom permissions.
7. Common workflows
Customer account statement (AR)
Open from the hub or from a Customer record (account statement link). Choose customer and date range → Run → download PDF or Excel. Optional aging shows how long invoices have been open.
Supplier account statement (AP)
Same pattern for Suppliers; use the hub or supplier shortcut.
Customer sales order activity
Shows goods production activity and uninvoiced service lines for one customer. You can export PDF/Excel. If permitted, create a draft consolidated invoice from selected billable lines.
Period trial pack (month-end)
Set period from/to → Run → Download period pack (Excel). One workbook with sales, purchases, movement costs, and inventory sheets for the period.
Bulk AR/AP statements
Choose customers or suppliers, date range, and options → download a workbook with summary and activity (and optional full statements for top balances).
Stock valuation
As-of date and optional warehouse → FIFO on-hand value; compare to dashboard inventory value widget.
Production WIP and throughput
WIP — orders on the floor with current operation. Throughput — completed work by work center over a date range. Quality — rejections by center and reason. Material readiness — orders blocked for missing materials.
8. Scheduled reports
Open Scheduled reports from the hub (under month-end & financial).
- Create a schedule: name, report, PDF or Excel, weekly or monthly timing.
- Only reports that support scheduling appear in the list (e.g. period trial, customer statement, bulk statements).
- When a run completes, you receive an in-app notification with a download link.
- Pause, resume, run now, or delete schedules from the list.
Your administrator must ensure background jobs run on the server so schedules deliver on time.
9. Shortcuts from customers and suppliers
On a Customer or Supplier view, use Account statement (or similar) to open the statement report with that party already selected.
You can still open the same report from the hub and pick a different party.
10. Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| Empty reports hub | Role lacks report page permissions, or Sales/Purchases/Services module disabled |
| Report missing from sidebar | Normal — only All reports shows in nav; open the report from the hub |
| Cannot download PDF/Excel | Role needs Export reports (PDF) or Export reports (Excel) |
| Download returns forbidden | Same as above, or missing See Financial Data for money-heavy PDFs |
| Amounts show as dashes | Role needs See Financial Data |
| Date range rejected | Narrow range to at most one year |
| Scheduled report never arrives | Ask administrator to check server schedules and queue workers |
11. After a system upgrade
When new reports are added to the system, your administrator should refresh role permissions and assign the new report pages to the right roles. You may need to sign out and back in to see new hub cards.
Quick reference
| Task | Where |
